For my daughter’s eleventh birthday, she decided to celebrate by going on a family adventure trip. Her choice of activity? Go-carting. At the time, I did not know much about adventure racing and was not sure where to find a good venue. Since this was a special occasion, I wanted to find a place where we could spend the better part of the day and one that would have attractions that our whole family (including our little one) could enjoy. I found Seekonk Grand Prix in Seekonk, MA using this website's app KidFriendlyVenues. So easy! Job done!
Seekonk Grand Prix turned out to be a fantastic choice for our family. Upon arriving, we decided to purchase the Power Day Passes which gave us access to unlimited rides on all of the park's attractions, plus free mini-golf. We started our adventure with the family go-carts. These were so much fun to drive! The carts were surprisingly easy to steer and we all had a blast racing one another to the finish line. I loved that my daughter was able to drive independently and my son (not yet meeting the height limit) was also able to go on the cart and ride along with my husband.
After many competitive laps around the go-cart track, we headed over to the bumper boats and had endless rounds of fun crashing into each over and over again. The cool splash from the boats turned out to be a welcome treat on that hot summer day.
We took a ride on the bumper cars (very fun), then headed inside to cool off and check out the park’s indoor attractions. We bravely climbed the ropes course, played some arcade games and enjoyed a cool drink from the snack bar before heading out for one final spin around the track. We left the park with tired bodies but big smiles. For some fantastic family adventure fun, I highly recommend taking a trip to Seekonk Grand Prix. I gave it a five-star rating on the KidFriendlyVenues website. For more information on Seekonk Grand Prix and other family adventure venues, search the KFV app.
